First impressions i still prefure the m90 for its warmth in sound, i dont even need to turn on the m90 for a comparo howeaver this has a punchy clear sound. Volume wize i have only had her on half volume breifly 
MY GOD the POWER my ears were vibrating with the POWER is incredible my guess is this would BLOW away any portable
EDIT i cant realy test this as the tapes dont work and to make it worse the tuner light has just blown

bill my usage of her was breif she had lots of bass etc would kill something like a sharp939 infact all portables, i need to strip her down on a rainy day.

the bass on these is pretty intense. different from the kaboom. i mean those big sonys just kick you in the gut with there sound. tight and loud.
not as refined as the smaller brother fh7 series but they have tons more horse power.
Fixed the display well it fixed itself, guys you need one of these i agree with everything bill has said, apart from not running on batts wich is no big deal (plenty of others that do) this box sounds awsom with 80s tunes guys just GET ONE you won't get a more powerful box, the kaboom is prolly half vol on this, each speaker is 70 watts din wich i belive is more power than rms
