So it wasn't perfect but the price was right and the shipping was fair ($105USD) so I couldn't resist even with it's cosmetic let downs it works 100% and apart from the missing antena's (easily replaced..ps does anyone have some they want to sell/send to aus?) and the strip hole in the side part of black trim to the left of the main woofer on the side it's perfect. It even has the plastic protective film still over top of controls..
Without any further adue here it is

Feel free to tell me what you think etc..

Honestly, that box is in bad shape physically... But, unlike mine, everything (decks & radio) works, so who am I to talk! :-D

Congratulations!

MONOLITHIC, you are right it isn’t perfect but I will never know 100% how good it is till I get it. The seller told me the lasonic just had work done: new cassette door, new tuner board (selector switch) and battery cover- parts alone costed him $80.
All in all I would love a mint one and will continue search for a more original and immaculate item, this is good for my first one (never have enough boomboxes). Being in Australia made it hard for someone willing to send down under and for a good price. For now I'm happy I have one and one that works!
Like FatDog said a little TLC and it will come up a treat! I will be sure to post pictures when I have fixed her up.
Does anyone have any antenna’s or old school Nolan Thomas "yo little brother" type mix tapes they want to send/sell me?

LOL every TRC-931 has either been through your hands or has had parts come from you  :-P Stynger seems like a top honest seller and that's what I needed, Someone who gave an honest description with the garuntee to pack the boombox safe and sound for a secure arrival :surf: I can't wait for it to arrive. I am very excited!

Ok :'-( So there is a bit of an issue and since I have absolutely no experience in shipping boxes o/s, I will require the boomboxery opinions.
I am very happy with stynger007's service, communication and honesty..
To properly pack the LASONIC he used triple bubble wrap, wrapped in cardboard, placed in a larger box for protection. When he took it to the post office the only method they could use was Priority shipping, coming in at a whopping $456.79

For obvious reasons I nor he could not absorb such phenominal costs.
He can send it still, but because of the Radio`s size It would only have 2 layers of bubble wrap and a single box, which in his experience might not be enough to absorb any shock to prevent damage. Question is should I take the risk and hope to god that it comes in one piece in working order and the guys at the transportation services haven't played catch with my TRC or get a refund. :-/ Personally I really want to get a TRC-931 and I like honest trader's so I feel this would be right for me. Anyone care to share their thoughts or offer any advice on alternate ways to pack the box safe and sound?

this might help --

send a PM to member PRIME --
several months ago --he was in the same spot --
trying to send a panny 5350 to AZA --
and the size restrictions screwed up the big fat packing plans-
so - instead he made a strong//thin wooden crate 0

there are several photos of it here on this site -
you might be able to locate them -
in primes post archives
