Fatdog said:The yellow just seemed to be a really faded red to me. Plus, from a distance, the pale yellow looked like the rest of the white markings. If the yellow VUs are indeed original, I can return them to yellow even though the Sharpie is labeled as "permanent." The wife has a secret liquid from the Philippines that makes Sharpie ink disappear.
Ira, it was done freehand. I do have one little slip-up on one of the "5"s, but you have to look really close to see it.
NZ, best of luck on your search. It only took me 3.5 years to get one.nz boom said:cool ill find one i hope thay dont seem that rear every member seems to have one.
Unfortunately, I don't have any "before" pictures. It had some grime in the corners and the back vents were really dirty. It has scratches and other marks that don't show up well in the pictures. By Ira's standards, it's minty mint. I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10.Master Z said:Yeah, great job Bobby and congrats!
It cleaned up very well. Do you have any before pics? i5s hard to visualize that ever being an "ugly" box.
Hahaha! Yeah, the speakers will remain the faded grayish blue for now.ford93 said:It's about time!!
Bobby are you keeping the speakers in that faded color?
Oh I forgot there maybe repercussion on this question.
