Ebay Kleinanzeigen is for the overly cautious people who refuse to list on regular Ebay because they're afraid of chargebacks and damage claims. What's ironic is they usually end up getting way less money than they could have on regular Ebay, due to the difference in exposure.

Yes, that's the deal all parties agree on: The buyer gets the item cheaper but has no chance to claim a refund. The seller gets less money but has no hassle with chargebacks and there is no comission. I think it's great.

And sometimes you find stuff for very cheap because people only want to get rid of it. They don't care about the 'real' value. Same like on Craigs List I assume.

I am not sure about getting less money all aspects considered. Maybe you get higher biddings on regular Ebay. But comission is high and evens that out in some cases. And I have read stories here from people getting ripped of from buyers claiming NAD and having to pay for getting stuff shipped back, then parts are missing etc.

I would say it's about the same with less hassle.

Cool find! The "suitcase" boomboxes are out there but can be difficult to find with the optional box which could have been pretty expensive add on at the time. Techmoan's recent video is for a first generation Sanyo briefcase model (hopefully he'll do more), after that they went more towards this travelling musician case style, even Hitachi had one that was nearly identical. Someday I'll have to do a sonic head to head but without the crappy Hitachi Speakers.
