I recently picked up this beast for a good price, but the bottom edge along the front of the left speaker shattered in transit, as well as a detached woofer and a couple dozen little fins. It wasn't worth the hassle of getting it looked at and all that jazz so I just decided to fix it, which I would be doing regardless.

Got it all fused back into place, with a few pockets from missing fleck-sized pieces. There are about three spots that were already missing before I bought it. I used a black paint marker to fix missing flecks of paint on the grille and used a steel block to straighten some dents. I want to color the woofers something light enough to see through the grille, but not so light it gets drowned out by the chrome, and matches the rest of the box well. There's a lot of red already, so that may be overkill...

It's a big box but not heavy. Did they at least take speakers off to pack individually? I sold and shipped mine to Rick in Australia and made it just fine 🤔

Nah he left them attached. Most sellers don't know what it takes to pack these large, thin brittle boxes of plastic. I got a dusting of foam peanuts, a couple layers of bubble wrap and a few wraps of that thin foam sheeting.

Sucks to see it was shattered so bad. At least you put the effort in to get it back together. Did you reinforce the smashed part? I usually use the black plastic flapper on old VHS tapes. Snap the tape protector flap off and it is perfect for acrylic cement repairs for backing some cracks or smashed areas.

Good tip, I just tore down a couple VCRs so I have some. I was just going to fill all those spaces between the fins along the bottom edge with epoxy, do you think that's enough?

Yeah I hate when sellers don't take speakers off and bubble wrap everything separately. It's just shear laziness 👎😞

What a beast, those are so freakin' long!

Only a pro could bring that speaker back. Nice save.

I love the cassettes with the simulated CD artwork.

What a beast, great repair work Eric  I think that blue would look proper on that thing...

I got to see that beast a few days ago when I stopped by. It's beautiful. I suggested a few things for it. I could already see the wheels turning in the Magic Man's head. Haha.

Can you take some close up pictures of the control panel? Also wondering what the length is on this machine.

Here's one next to C100 👌 it's like 36" I believe 🤔
