I'm the one who recommended removing those baffles... almost 2 years ago.I modified my old i931 and did it again to my white on white i931...

It's not about "claiming the idea", I was just saying that I've been there and done that...
The sad part is that while removing the baffles does improve the bass somewhat, it still isn't the cure for getting it to boom like the old 931.
Still, box placement can make a BIG difference 'cause if you place it in the wrong spot, you won't notice much of an improvement in bass.It's my hope that when Lasonic decides to relaunch the i931, they COMPLETELY remove those baffles and probably add some more vents to the back of the box.
