Here's a list of all boomboxes OCD4U has purchased since August 2008 (current as of this post):

http://www.mediafire.com/?7h8yuchwp4d6pcv

Keep in mind that the list does not include shipping charges.

The RX-6400 was initially won for $100 (still a fantastic deal at $200 including shipping). The GF-575 was bought for $159 from China.

The list doesn't include any boombox that cost $1,750, but there is a $1,361.01 RX-C300. :-O

Looks like he's still in a buying mood. Just spotted this q&a on a current JVC 646 auction:

Q: could you Add a picture of the top controls with the handel down Please showing the knobs an switches - dont need to see the cassette buttons just the rest. And of course the cassette works in all function's perfectly, Yes? Mar-28-11
A: Hi Decentman4you, I will post some additional photo's of the top of the radio. And yes all features of the radio work perfectly. When I say NEW, it is BRAND NEW, and everything works perfectly. I only buy the best radio's, and never will I buy something if it needs refurbishing. I will sometimes buy a radio if it needs a new belt, or missing knob, but that is it. I test all of my equipment prior to listing them. I hope this answers your question. You should see some new photo's shortly. Thank you!

Hmm........that's the same seller who sold an rc838 for about $700 last week. The one who claimed "mint shape" even though it had dents & scratches.....The one who people seem to trust, even though his auction descriptions are only like 1 paragraph.

Congrats Jeff! (At least you and I are cool!  )

I bought my Sansui CP-99W from him...

He seemed pretty normal then I gave me a fair deal on it...but then we had other issues...

I guess I really can't say too much since I have had my own moment of "zen" recently but I digress. He worked over many people and rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way. Especially with his gloating when he "bested" someone. :-/ I wouldn't want anyone to lose their job, and it didn't seem like he had much else going on either. :-/

Regarding Arkay...(real or otherwise)...I'll believe it when I see pics of his collection, finds, or these fantastic markets. Technology is too cheap and prevalent to allow the fact we see nothing to keep me lured... |-) |-) |-)
