I have made some upgrades to the Boom Room!
To start with, the back wall is now 50% connected, with various radio's pumping out the beat. After multipal arrangements and dealing with a mostly empty room with a tile floor, I was struggling with tons of echo. With every radio set to stereo, it exasperated the situation.
So, to combat that, I split that channel right down the center of the room. I set all the radio's to Mono and directed the left channel to all the radios on the left and the right channel to all the radios on the right, leaving just the J1 as center, true stereo.
Next I set all the EQ's on all the radio's to Flat and zero'd the bass and treble knobs. I purchased some software called Graphic Equalizer Studio 2017 and completely EQ'd the whole wall, one radio at a time, then again with them all going.
The end product is acceptable. It's no replacement for a home stereo and it's certainly not "Hi Fi". But for a party, with the light show going, it will get great.
The lighting is a 27 watt Amaz-Play 9 color DMX LED set up, with a separate lazer beam, 8 inch mirror ball with two pin spot lights.
Can you say "1979"?

I do have to say, I kind of feel bad. My wife and I got together with a few other couples, most of which have been to the house and seen the Boom Room, "pre-super disco". One of the women that has been to the house, her husband just arrived. He has been working on his "Man Cave" and blurted out to the group, "Your all gonna have to come over and party in my man cave when it's done" and one of the other guys interrupts him and says, "Dude, don't even try, this guy over here has got everyone beat, it's not even a fair fight".
The look of instant sadness and bewilderment came over the new guys face, I felt really bad.
They are all coming over this weekend for my wifes birthday bash and the Disco Boom Room is ready to go!
