Totally agree, I know of the 920 (1983) w/ thick black grills, (1984) fine mesh grills then the 920T in dark blue-ish color, then the black T you are talking about. I guess the list could just go on

I have never saw these with mesh grills , and my 920 was made in 1984

When you really look at it other companys have had differences like sanyo/ sears / realistic have similar models but a little different looks and panasonic/ Quasar plus other Aka's

Z - I only asked because at Lasonic on their display shelf it shows the 935 with the speakers displayed. I don't think they modded their boombox and removed the plastic and foam. That's the only reason why I asked otherwise I would have just assumed that those pieces were removed by their owners.

You know, that 951 is so unique, because it's a little of both the other 2. Kind of Batman / Stealth thing going on. Seems a bit more modern.

While at Lasonic I spoke to Albert (son of owner of Lasonic) and we talked about the super rare 951 and how you just found one and how I was super jealous! Albert said those were VERY low production quantities! So it's not that they are out there en-mass like the 975's or 935's, there just aren't ANY out there! Your a lucky man to have one!

.It is a stealthy weasle - combination (more towards the 975 looks). But, it is the HOTTEST !!!!!!!
Weyland - I might pull mine too so I can see the speakers. It really isn't damaging the box, so I will keep those parts set aside incase I need to put them back
