Hey guys, been seeing a lot of maggie d8443's on ebay lately in really good shape for cheap. But it seems like the general consensous on here is theyre not that desireable. Is the sound quality really that bad? Or is a quality issue? How would they compare to say a panny 5010 or 5150? Thanks!

Now the panny rx5010 is a low end panny but very nice for a small box and the rx5150 more of a medium bbx has pretty nice sound, probably better than the maggy 
If your looking for good sound JVC, sharp or larger panny may work for ya

i wouldnt bother unless its in mint condition & youre not planning on playing an mp3 player through it. as said above the line in sounds horrible & the mp3 cassette thingy sounds just as bad... but maybe thats only on mine. if you dig through old posts using the search, there is lots of threads discussing the better sounding mid size boxes... on that note, i just picked up a lasonic trc 920 & the thing is LOUD, id recommend it
Too bad then cuz thats exactly what i'll be doing, playing an mp3 player through it. I would love to score a lasonic 920!! Just a little too much $$$ for me right now. Someday haha
