So dear members and followers :-D

the Trommelmops has hit again

i have made the original bumps on the bottom of the switchtips to avoid that the felt slips over the switchtip to the ground of the switch.

This is an no go for me  it has to be better.

They look great now. But it was definetly difficult to made the little plates. But Trommelmops has build a tool therefor and has made the plates with the lathe

Sounds funny but it isnt.

The result is all what count. The pictures are not show, how good it looks when you take it in your hand.......

And now i have the switchtips assembled.

The pictures cannot show how great it looks. Thousand times better than the originals....but only my opinion....

And the red felt gives the special painted touch.....Matches perfect to the powerbutton...... :-D im happy with the result

But to assemble the knobs you have to loosen the mainboard. And when all switchtips mounted, then its tricky to

push them all togehter trough the squared openings.....With patience is it good possible.

The first time I look at this thread and see the image, I thought wow, why did Trommelmops make such ugly yellow plastic switch covers. The metal ones look so much nicer. Later, I realize that the metal one IS the new one and the plastic ones were original. :dunce:

The reason is that the metal one looks perfect and the plastic ones looked out of place. In other words, I thought that the factory should have made them like Trommelmops in the first place. They fit and look better with the metal trim.

Great job! :superduper:

Great work - as ever. I thought using red felt in place of the standard black colour was a nice, custom touch and it doesn't look out of place. Well done!

Very impressive

The internal chassis needs to be removed to install these, correct?

Oh, it just means that I cannot believe that you are here helping to make such difficult parts for us, it seems like I am dreaming.

Oh when you know what i know......expect something.......im in the backround develope something.....but with help from someone of you.

These are not so difficult parts. The challenge expect me already......But i solve this too.....

The next i will make are fullmetal tapedeck knobs. The black plasticbuttons are definetly not nice......When i have a little more time.....

At the moment i have all hands full with your work

Also i develope a special handle for the 850 also fit on the 980.....No strap :nonono: a carbonfibre or stainless steel handle. Or alu......

I have an idea.....When you put it all the time over the shoulder its to heavy. So my idea is a handle which everybody can assemble to the exist 2 handles on the side

without glueing or drill holes or whatever......without damaging the case or handles.

I say it and reapeat it: expect the unexpected
