Hello Guys,
Today i found the time to pick up a new addition to my collection at the post-office(it was there for over two weeks!!).
Its a COSMEL TSR-580 from the eighties. The box wasnt as nice as i remembered from the pictures..the antennas were both broken, it was very dirty and smelled like someone had used it as an astray for a decade or two....but the most important thing a boombox has to do is to come to life when you switch the on-off button..and that it did! The sound amazed me, i did not expected it to sound as good as it did. The cassette-player was working 100% and sounded like new. The first job was to clean it and to find some new antennas for it. I found a few new ones in my storage with the right size and fitted them but first cleaned the box completely with a lot of soap and water. The chrome rings around the speakers i cleaned also with a special cleaning solution and they became shining like new again. The FM reception is very good and especially the fantastic stereo seperation is something you notice at once.
Here are some pics Brothers!
