Are you advocating a type of Bluetooth or something else?
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is the streaming protocol that allows for undiminished quality in the ear. I was just suggesting that Reli might not have been comparing like with like as the ridiculously bass heavy, dull and generally congested cordless telephony profile - that some vendors are providing when they claim that it's an A2DP device you're buying - is also used in some audio devices without A2DP.
So Bluetooth devices that are sold with the A2DP flag can provide a sound quality that's indistinguishable from a hard connection but a device that was developed primarily to keep occupants of moving vehicles legal - by allowing them to make calls without the phone being in their hand - will also receive audio streams only the quality in that case is poor by comparison.
Most modern receivers work with profiles that include A2DP but when someone bemoans the quality of the streamed content, I'm wondering whether their gear is out of the 1990s.
