Spent a couple of hours cleaning my ride thismorning then spent about
an hour detailing my newest Crown and took the chance to get some pics
of both.

Here is the Crown before. Luckily it was all in pencil so i was able to use
a standard eraser to get most off. Had to be careful on the top though
because it was starting to remove some of the green colour on the top panel :'-(

I have to say i enjoy the fact that this classic Boombox appears to have been
some old guys radio for listening to the afternoons local AM news and sport :-)

I was about to offer you another top plate from my spare one, but I see you don't need it now!

On a related note, I see the top of your Crown was the same pale green as the one I used to own...
I wonder if they came like that or did they turn that color over the years. :hmmm:
Thought it might've been my fault for cleaning it. :-/

Thanks MONO.
To be honest i never realised the top of the 950 was green and was surprised when i seen it,
but im thinking that it is how it was produced.

AZA, I couldn't remember the color when I first got mine.

After listening to the sound, the 2nd thing I did was clean it with Turtle Wax Chrome & Metal polish/cleaner...

Afterwards, I was thinking I might've ruined the color 'cause I couldn't get to look silver like other boxes.

Maybe you're right.

  Cheers

I used to see left hand drive import cars driving around all the time and thought that it would
suck to import a car and not convert it to RHD. It just seemed wierd to me.
But since driving around the States in a LHD hire car and Motorhome for 2 months i
realised it wasnt so bad, not correct mind you, but not so bad
Plus my old man bought a Corvette while we where over on holidays and imported that
which i drive on a regular basis too and thats still LHD so i get a go at both

His Corvette doesnt come with a shiney Crown but !!
