well you guys know what i do I have accesive compulsive disorder for real i like to use a little soap and water for light work ...when i ripo one apart i use a commercial degreser and lots of brushes...to maintain i use some automotive detail spray

Is canned air with the straw-like nozzle a good idea to use to blast out dust etc. or has that already been mentioned?

Yes, but don't use on speaker cones. The best thing to clean dust off speakers is a paint brush that has never been used for painting.
