It is sometimes known as a General Sound GS-4040. We had one in attendance at the 2010 Sunshine Mix.

Compare the MXC Crown CS-2525 posted in the start of the thread to the General Sound GS-4040 below. You can notice there is more flair in the Crown, most notably the LEDs sounding the speakers responding to the music. The General Sound lights don't appear to be affected by the music quite like the Crown.

:agree:
The first one can be compared with the "madonnas" discolite.
VUmeter, flashing lights and running LEDs

The MEGA and others runs in a fixed systems (3steps)

But fun are both!

As it dosen't run on batteries and is AC only it should sound pretty decent.
But I'm not going to bet on that...

Sorry, if anybody want to buy it because of sound > forget it
It is really cheap made.

Visited yesterday Denny, maybe austrias biggest boombox collection owner.
He also has one of those units.
But with matching parts.
There is a color discoball, inside illuminated.
In the speaker lamps are also red and green LEDs
The running light is in other steps
And there is a "5x" VU meter on the front :-D
