So does my BOSE 10 count as a Boombox? This thing can pound out any song like nobody's business! It's not portable but man can this thing sing!! And I even have the Bluetooth hookup for it and can play my entire library from my Macbook without any wires!! Plays my movies from my iPods with a TV output as well while the soundtrack plays through it's 3 speakers. Did I mention it has a 7 inch woofer in it? Opinions? Comments?

Yea it doesn't have any of that stuff (handle,VU's,battery compartment,)but pandora sounds F'n amazing through it, I'll put it up against anything like a battle royale!!! Has an input so i can connect the old tapes or a CD player! At $600+ it's worth every penny I paid for it. :-)

Although not my cup of tea, thrilled that you like it.

I have a Sony FH-7 MKII that we can test along side it...... :-D

Then again, the above subwoofer is missing VU meters and battery compartments too. It does have wheels though, so it's sort of portable

The Bose wave radio is a boombox - I'd have to say the SoundDock 10 isn't. Never heard one so I can't speak to sound quality. I did like the wave radio last time I heard one though. Bose is hit and miss for me.

Oh, I know. I'm working my way through a party sized bag of M&M's as I type this. The only cure for my chocolate related brain anomalies is more chocolate, I reckon.

I'd like to see Chris TRC-920 take that bose thing out behind his shed and have it dealt with in a befitting manner.

Rock On.

my friend had one of those for a outdoor barbeque. It wasn't loud enough to even fill his yard. I think it needs walls to bounce the sound off?

At not even half the price, my Altec IMT-800 will burn circles around it.
I proved it at a house party already.
JVC's Kaboom will even burn it.
Bose is decent gear but my experience= overpriced and not thrilling at all.
