This Toshiba is one of the best sounding 1 piece mid I've heard. That includes the M9994. Such a good all rounder that I wouldn't mind a second one.
That's a beautiful Toshiba.

My friend has one, in very good condition. actually I helped him acquire it over the net. But he told me my GF-9696, which is also under his keeping, sounds much better than the Tosh. Now, I think I must come visit him some day to have a try on this model.

Love that Toshiba too..........

Out of mine there are only 2 - Crown CSC-850L & my new Brandt (Sanyo M9996) - The Sanyo I can just keep listening to it without any fatigue, it really is that good!!

This is very interesting...........I didn't think many others would understand the listening fatigue effect - something many portables suffer from!!

When you have a fairly high end digital hi-fi system & the mighty Logitech Z2300 2.1 on the computer, you soon get used to very good quality sound :-)

Of course few portable stereo's can get anywhere near what I am used to & it's not new to me that of course they have limitations & tbh most I can listen to for a while but then I need to return to this pc or the home stereo due to listening fatigue, coloured mid & hissy treble & of course lack of bass :-)

Panasonic RX-C100, Mine sounds beautiful, granted it has new speakers but I heard the originals sound awesome too! I actually sold my Pioneer SX-1080 Receiver because I use the Panasonic more! Great bass, lovely design!

Kind of ridiculous, but mine might be the original boombox that got me into this mess, the Panasonic RX-F4. It's small, but it looks great and sounds awesome, especially for such a small box. I just wish the tape player worked on it, or at least had a line in option.

I like to listen to Pioneer SK-95.
It has got a sweet sound and I feel no ear fatigue during long listening.
You know there is something special about those
