Ofcourse 22 cm speakers that the LLOYD'S - SOUND claims it has is not the truth.
22 CM is written on the front of the boombox. False.
They want it to look big and for achieving that the manufacturer of this Jumbo Radio
use the trick of making the chrome trim rings to be way bigger than the square outline just to empasize how big are they.
What the icon says when you see this box is that the woofers wont even fit the boombox itself.
Making the Speaker Grills pop out about 1 cm they also create a 3D effect which adds appeal and size too.
Speaker grills are not flat like on most radios.
The Crome trim rings are indeed 22 cm but the actual woofers are 20 cm or 8 inches.

Back in the 80s all the fuss was about who had the bigger woofers.
Sharp GF-9494 for instance came with a sticker of 18cm x 18cm.
I am not forgeTing about the RISING-CLAIRTONES 20X20 or 16x16.
and many many more.The bigger the better.
