I've never opened this, I imagine the speaker foams have deteriorated and the rubber belts probably melted. No problem, not like we haven't resolved issues like this before. One thing I hate about this model: it's insanely heavy. I can't lift it without help anymore. Very rare to see model. There is another version that has a standard cassette door, but this one with porthole cassette window seems harder to find.

Clones of the M-7770 , of the M-7700 , of the M-7740 with the 6 speakers and maybe from its mono series too.
