i have so many friends here --dont need to ANNOUNCE all that and all them swell peeps
what does it do ??

There's a weird grammar Nazi on this site......it auto-capitalizes thread titles, even when that's not the correct approach.
I created a thread called Aiwa gets owned by trash compactor.

And it changed it to Aiwa Gets Owned By Trash Compactor.

That might be correct for a book title, but not for a thread title.

Also, how come not everybody's thread was edited like that? Seems weird.

Not necessarily. There might be method to the madness and one of the mods might be secretly pushing your buttons for a psych experiment.

A big thank you to the guys behind the scenes for their hard work and dedication to the forum. This new look is different enough to be fresh and up to date, yet similar enough not to make my brain hurt too badly.

I just realised that the friend thing is why I had a flashing number icon at the top of the page so thanks for that OS, I'm about to reciprocate if I can work it all out.

Thanks for pointing that out, Reli. There's a setting to stop SHOUTING in topic titles. I thought it only worked when the entire title was capitalized, but apparently it works on every title regardless of capitalization. It has now been deactivated.

Yes, it was on the old site. It is similar to the old Friend / Foe system.

That's actually pretty funny. It must have triggered when I typed the word "OWNED" in all caps. But trust me, I would never type the entire thread title in caps. That's so 1997.

Cuz otherwise, except for window dressing to wallpaper the profile page with member avatars, there doesn't seem to be any benefit of having friends/foes if it doesn't do anything else. Right? Or am I missing something?
