Boombox Identification? (and an introduction)

So I'm watching this on ebay and couldnt quite make out any sort of branding other than hitachi, any help?

:hi: ....welcome to the site...that is a very minty looking Hitachi. I have never seen or heard that model but someone will chime in with some info.... :-D

That right there is the Hitachi TRK-8290. The 8*** series boomers are some of the nicest that Hitachi made - in my opinion.

My first thought would be Yorx or Emerson. I agree with RA about the cheap quality. ;-)

I would agree with Fatdog, and say this Hitachi is a 8290.

To be honest with you, I don't know the difference between an 8290, and an 8190.

Maybe it's something to do with the sticker on the cassette door. Fatdog seems almost certain that this is the 8290 and not 8190.

The black box.........I can see 'Alba' on the front, and this is one of those real cheap brands.

The Aiwa? I am sure that Jens can identify that one....Its probably in the BoomBox DataBase.
