Black scatchy stain on metal trim.

Hello everybody,


I have a little black scratchy stain on the tunnerdial trim.

Is is not looking nice.

Somebody any idea how to remove this without making it worse.

See the picture.

Please help!

It's not looking like a stain. The vacuum metallized metal layer has eroded and leaving the plastic substrate used for the boombox.
Vacuum metalizing plastic is a process that allows you to create a layer of metal on a substrate, metal or plastic.
This eroded metal layer cannot be repaired.

It’s not a plastic trim Royce, that part on the M70 is all aluminum and that’s a rub/scuff mark that’s not gonna just wash off. He can maybe lessen the “darkness” by rubbing it perhaps with “bar keepers friend” cleaner/polish or polish it carefully with some metal or plastic polish but the polished area would no longer match the brushed areas.
