Actually you are close. It is a Sharp in GE drag. It's actually a Sharp GF9797. I had one of these once and it has the Sharp logo printed on the circuit boards inside. It is a nice sounding box but no bass machine. It is a nice looker too.

They actually sound fairly nice, better than your typical GE. It doesn't have much low bass though. I sold mine to Uncle Ed. However, I found out yesterday that I have another one in my dad's garage that I totally did not remember.

You know you are a serious collector when...
You are on ebay , looking at the latest boombox auctions, and you can't quiite remember if you have that model or not.
There is a US GF-9797 that has line-in and the more powerful GF-9797E European version that has just phono in. I have both.
There is also a super rare GF-9797HB bronze edition which I'd love to get someday! So rare that I've only seen 1-2 over the years and only here.
i have a 3-5295a the radio and tape deck are super loud but the Line-in is super low volume.. like almost half. i plugged in the same wire and ipod in another boombox and it was super loud. does anyone know why the line-in is so low? thanks
