Best sound quality box with medium size speakers?

I have read few topics discussing on best mid-size, big-size boxes but large or medium are very subjective so I have a specific question here need your input.

What boxes have the best sound quality that you have ever heard, among those boxes that:

- Is only one piece
- Has only TWO large speakers that are 16cm wide or less. Boxes like big-ben, Pioneer 900, Sharp 777 etc are not considered.

Just put rarity, overall size, regular price, power, loudness, built quality, number of batteries used .... aside. ONLY consider SOUND QUALITY.

Please suggest one or more that you think are the best. Thanks.

im not sure if she counts but im saying the sony cfs f40...great sound and a rare one at that

and the jvc 390en, i have both silver and black, they are great booxes

The best Toshiba boxes were never sold in the UK. Mostly low end boxes. Mine have all been from abroad. No regrets though.

you need a sony cfs f40 my man but i think they were only sold in japan for some strange reason

Very nice Reli...tell me do you own the pioneer 900 909 and more important does the deck work, im lucky my 900 the deck has been done and she works like new...so many people have these boxes with a defunk deck, man i couldn't live with that lol....nearly bought the silver a couple of weeks ago looks similar to the sony but the deck was cream crackered and my engineer is busy saving my sony fh 909, a few parts blew

Oh yeah, but only for certain types of music like hiphop and game consoles

In other words it's got pronounced lows & highs, but they aren't very precise, and the mids are lacking. So it ain't the box to use for rock or classical.

I've never actually owned one, I've played with one so I know they're great quality, but I just never got into the look.
