Tuners are the most difficult things to fix due to the fact you need a service manual and correcting of all trims using expensive equipment. Also it's kinda odd that both am and fm are not working. Possibly your function switch is bad. Does the stereo LED work when your on FM stereo changing stations?

I am sorry you are still having trouble with it. :-/ I hope you find a solution. There are many different versions of that boombox, like the Sound 4008 and the Conion CRC-H58F, and unfortunately they are not very good quality. I've owned a few of them, and there is always something wrong with them.

Parts are usually the same. I've had 4 different units already and parts are interchangeable except my CEC don't have tape LED's or tuner light but it has battery check. Other Boomboxes like the Kingspoint PS 420 and it's AKA's are same except a few differences, but there is a Toshiba RT S84 which is an AKA but in actuality these AKA's are kinda made like garbage including the Toshiba which is odd because Toshiba is a very well made brand. Now I might be wrong since I never owned Toshiba one but I had the Kingspoint and it seems cheaply made. Maybe another member who's had that Toshiba model can chime in ;-)
