I have never had a problem with component boxes. Obviously no one would carry a PC-55, FH-5, GX-300, et al and the like around as these tip the 30-40lb range...empty!

There are many good light ones and what is cool is that you can literally (once you reach your destination) open up the soundstage and "spread" the music out!

I'd be inclined to put the RISING 20/20 in the mosty-carryable category too.
Light weight for it's size, not too deep dimensions wise, and nice big metal bars to protect the front.

Great battery life, like the M-70, too.

Rock On.

I carry around my Gf-777 quite regularly actually and it is heavy, yes. But as with anything, you get used to it. I've put a strap from a camera bag onto mine and that makes it a great deal easier to carry. It's a heavy duty Lowpro strap.

I do have to agree with Tim, for portability and sound the M90 would be a better choice. The C-100F is so big it's tough to lug around plus the feet are delicate.

I totally agree with Rimmer too. How could anyone possibly argue when suggesting the M90? I can't afford one; I'd love to hear one though.

The M90 can't be that much lighter the the Conion though so maybe a strap is still worthwhile on it. What do you M90 owners think?

Not that it's lighter but it's smaller and not as thick making it easier to carry plus it doesn't have the delicate feet the Conion does.

The M 90 is easy to carry around , but the batteries don't last long . 20 Watt X 2 you know :breakdance:

 yep if we're talking battery life that's a whole different argument. I haven't tested this but supposedly the GF-777 is much easier on batteries than either the Conion or M90.

The 777 is very easy on batteries given it's size and power. All that loudness from the M90 has to come from somewhere. I know you guys wouldn't give it up for the world though.

the conion is one of the worst boxes for battery life ,the m90 eats em up like tic tacs as well, the gf 777 is great for battery life unless you turn the super woofers up then it gets hungry, another alternative is the trc 931 it's much lighter than the other boxes ,almost as loud but not quite ,great bass nice highs ,not a high end box but still perfect for carrying around if you want BIG,LOUD,FLASHY ,DECENT BATTERY LIFE.
