Some DIY's I made on the acoustics on all of my eggs. It made a considerable improvement on the sound, tighter bass, more clear mids and highs and less resonance overall. Just want to share to you all. :-D
I used some Flashband tape (similar to car vibration sheets) to dampen the plastic housing and add fiberfill to absorb unwanted sound reflection on both woofer and mid/high cavities.

Did you make any recordings (Video or Audio only) before and after the modification?
Sadly no recording done before and after but for some little work and small amount you can't lose adding some acoustic upgrades to the cavities of the speakers.

Boomus Fidelis
It reduces resonance, eliminating the "boxy" sound characteristics of plastic speaker boxes.
And the bass becomes tighter.

Here another boombox, that in most literal sense is an EGG - The Sanyo "Primaire" PH-PR910. Again it was only available in Japan.
Got it recently in quite good shape. It's working, only the separate woofer had broken edge. I could repair it, added LED lights to the display and to the cassette part. Furthermore with an additional FM converter I can receive European FM stations.
It is quite small but has powerfull bass. The separate woofer is placed behind the right front speaker and is blowing its sound through a tube. I made a comparison picture with RX-DT9.
The funny things are a front panel, that will open and close motorized, an unusual tape deck with two-part door and a lot of blinking lights.

My ED-707 finally arrived yesterday, sounds pretty good, but not a patch on the DT-75. Needs a new aerial and the cd-player doesn't seem to work either, but I'll take it apart and get it fixed!

The only one left for you to get is a dt707/909 which is better than the dt75 and plentiful, it's actually better than the m90 (at least mine was) good luck getting one

Managed to get the cd-player working on the ED-707, turns out the motor for the draw was seized, freed it up and it works perfectly now. Unfortunately in my tinkering around with the rear 'subwoofer' it seems I've either damaged the amp or hopefully unplugged a connector somewhere as the left speaker isn't working now when it was before! A job for another day.....

Just struck on a 'deal' on eBay and bought a RX-DS05 Mini-cobratop! Its mint, just been serviced, single cassette deck, probably won't sound anywhere as good as the mighty dt-75, but I really like these Panny's.
