Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on this problem?
I have a large boombox coming from the U.K. It was shipped out on December 2nd through a company called Parcelforce.
I have a tracking number CP675663424GB.
When I enter the tracking number on the Parcelforce website it doesn't come up.
But when I enter it on the U.S.P.S. website I get this message.

Label/Receipt Number: CP67 5663 424G B
Class: Priority Mail International Parcels
Service(s): International Parcels
Status: Foreign International Dispatch
Your item left COVENTRY PARCELFORCE, GREAT BRITAIN on December 02, 2010. No further information is available for this item.
Detailed Results:
Foreign International Dispatch, December 02, 2010, 9:47 am, COVENTRY PARCELFORCE, GREAT BRITAIN
Foreign Arrival at Outward Office, December 01, 2010, 4:22 am, COVENTRY PARCELFORCE, GREAT BRITAIN
So I'm guessing it is in transit.
But when I ask the dipshits at Parcelforce they send me this email.

Dear Scott M. Seiler

Thank you for your email.

I am sorry but I am unable to give you the exact details of your item's location. The parcel number you have provided indicates that your parcel has been sent on our Global Economy service. I must advise this service does not include a track and trace facility or a guaranteed delivery timescale. Due to this, the actual delivery may take slightly longer than our advised delivery time in literature and on our website.

The expected delivery speeds relating to individual destinations can be accessed through our website at http://www.parcelforce.co.uk. This is not a guaranteed delivery time.

The Global Economy service does not include compensation for loss, damage or late delivery of a parcel.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us again at this email address: E-mail address has been removed.

Please ensure that you include the full history of your enquiry so far, in order to help us respond to you as quickly as possible.

Our hours of business are: Mon to Fri: 8am to 7pm, Sat: 8:30am to 5.30pm and Sun: 9am to 5pm.

Scott I am gonna say that for some reason tracking outside US is a big headache.... When I purchased from germany and it came by boat no one had any idea where it was from the 1st day at german post to the day it was recieved at US post...Heck it just took 3 weeks for Bill to get the I931 I sent USPS  :sadno:

I hear you Bill.
I sent an SCR-8 to a member "Docs" in the U.K. a few weeks ago.
It only took a week through U.S.P.S.
I don't get it......... :dunce:

This international shipping business is pretty weird. It took two days for my GF-777 to get to Dallas from China. But it takes weeks to get something from Europe.

Also, with all the snow they had in Europe - I think everything's been delayed....

Parcel Force is part of the Royal Mail and they are useless........a friend of mine sent a mobile phone to Romania ( i know i told her not to send it) and the user said they didn't get it!!!! yea likely story.... she contacted parcel force and said she couldn't track it, they replied 'tracking does not work outside the UK and we cannot be held responsible for items that go missing.......

told you.......bloody useless...

I always use UPS where i can

If it's on a boat, you can expect six to eight weeks in shipping time. So, if the package left the UK on December 2nd, you can expect to get it sometime in the latter part of January. My box from Henry took the slow boat from China and arrived right on schedule, which was six weeks.

Sounds like Skippy = Parcel Farce.

Another slow boat shipping story, I expect it will be fine once Jack Lalanne finishes rowing it across the Atlantic.

Yes Parcelforce are like the standard mail delivery company, much the same as the folks that come round and deliver your letters each morning.
They do have different levels of service though. it is likely that the seller did not pay for full tracking service. Even if you send normally you get a tracking number which as you can see gives no information anyway.
Parcelforce will have used their incumbent contractors to send outside of the UK which in this case is USPS. Since the seller did not pay for a full tracking service, neither will Parcelforce with USPS. In my experience, never accept anyone sending a boomer via Parcelforce, they are simply useless and will throw that bo around like a ball. I have sent two stereos to US, using a very good service, one took less than 2 days to arive and the other just over 2 days.

It will get there, probably in good order since it went out to USPS without going through the internal UK Parcelforce system but in future don't use them if you can help it at all. The company i used to get them to the US ultra fast was DHL.
