a little, but to me my RX5050 has as much or more bass. All in all I think it sounds very good
Hmmmmm........
My two really thump with loads of bass - not super loud but I find the bass amazingly strong for such small speakers.

You've done really well finding a freebie as this model tends to hold it's value on the bay. :-)

I have found one issue, the highs come and go when playing a tape, also it occasionally damages a tape. Its not drawing the tape out down into the mechanism, it seems the tape is being pulled off center of the head. That would explain the highs fluctuating, I believe it may need a new pinch roller.

Quick fix on that model. The black plastic 'plug' just comes out and the new roller can be fitted.
Many other Pannies use the same pinch roller setup.

Will I hear a dramatic difference if I demagnitise the heads on my boxes? I have picked up 3 boxes that I have no idea how they were handled or cared for (or lack there of). I just assumed if I used some rubbing alcohol that would be fine and my old tapes from back in the day were just oxidized.

If you notice a lack of high frequency I'd say you should demagnetize. As part of my maintenance routine, every time I clean the tape path I also demagnetize
