I guess it depends - I bought a Sony shelf system 3 years ago, and it sounds better than anything else I have. But mine was their most expensive shelf system though (at $400) - I guess they don't make their entry level ones that good....

Is it one of those sci-fi looking ones, with orange or red woofers, jet-exhaust-like bass ports & tubes, plastic speaker boxes, and a big huge multi-control knob in the center? Talking about how they have 1,000 watts but probably only 100 in reality? Those are the ones I'm talking about. :lol:

I'm just having fun.....Maybe there are some of those that sound good, I wouldn't know........But the ones at Best Buy look cheap as hell though.
