I guess it depends - I bought a Sony shelf system 3 years ago, and it sounds better than anything else I have. But mine was their most expensive shelf system though (at $400) - I guess they don't make their entry level ones that good....
Is it one of those sci-fi looking ones, with orange or red woofers, jet-exhaust-like bass ports & tubes, plastic speaker boxes, and a big huge multi-control knob in the center? Talking about how they have 1,000 watts but probably only 100 in reality? Those are the ones I'm talking about.
I'm just having fun.....Maybe there are some of those that sound good, I wouldn't know........But the ones at Best Buy look cheap as hell though.
