I first saw this modern boom box reviewed by Hemiguy (iMT800). I have only spent a few hours with her but I am impressed. I mostly jam hiphop and was surprised by the bass coming out the 5" woofer placed on the side. The nicest thing is the three inputs. A nice addition in a modern boom box. The handle is in the center and can be carried both ways. There are also two handles in the front. On the top of the box is the volume control. It is nice size dial that also acts as the power button that you push down to shut off. The down side is there in no old school out puts to connect two together or Inputs for video. I remember being strapped for cash and always looked for that in a boom box.
As for the sound I would put it clear and crisp. It has it's own EQ so you can adjust for your own music. I tend to leave it flat and use my iPhone app EQu. Bass is nice and not too boomy but can be over taken with deep bass like Eric b and Rakim "Mahogany". Can't be too hard on a five inch woofer
. For the given price it is a very good iPhone boom box. The TDK three speaker is the only other box I think can rival this little box.
