5th step- can´t check it out as it´s all electromechanical , all cogwheels though move around, if i can get to the belts i would love to replace both of them, they look alright but just in case. damn those engineers, no proper ways to remove back plate of this deck
If you have a specific problem with any aspect, and you have a camera phone, take a pic of the problem and post it on the forum. I've done this many times and the responses have helped enormously.

Alright boomboxers, today i tried to bite through the tape deck issue. I took the whole thing apart, found one spider also inside :-D . I took the cassette deck mechanism apart, found also a lot of dust and grime, wiped that off. I managed to replace the main belt with swearing million of times  I put the mechanism back together and wired it all up again. Plugged it into a wall socket and well well, motor started running, but then came that horrible sound just like something was stuck or hits back, :sadno: i soon realised that this copper switch thingy was stuck and cogwheel what´s responsible for auto stop engaged repetitively. :annoyed: I tried to fix that million times, but nothing really happened. So i decided to unplug the deck motor, because when you plugged it to the mains, motor automatically started running and then this horrible clicking noise came. I put it back together, it´s owner, my co-collector and associate, as i call him, was very happy with the result. So my work is done here, radio works, line-in too, deck is just like it is and it needs new antennas. Lots of pictures for all you, ending this thread here :hooray:

Good work, I notice there seems to be plenty of working space in this box? My first real in-depth resto was a Hitachi TRK-8130E and it was quite a nightmare for a newbie 'cos it's absolutely packed full with components.

Yes, surprisingly there were enough room, but enormous speakers take the whole room when it´s all assembled. ;-) Easy to access, but i won´t even start with cassette mechanism, it was one of the worst looking mechanisms i´ve worked on :bang:  :annoyed: , well, one Soviet-made boomer was even worse and finally i got it also running really bad. Each time when i´m working on something i learn some lessons and that´s good enough :-D
