Rarity -- Aiwa.
Highs, clarity, separation -- M9994.
Warmth of sound -- Aiwa.
Tuner dial design -- M9994, slam dunk (dem green lights are the bomb)
Cassette deck -- Aiwa (in spite of all the negs, primarily due to deck deemed too complicated to repair).
Which one do I prefer?![]()
........................................................................ BOTH!

i agree with norm the 9994 has the edge but the aiwa is not far behind i think it was meant to blast out a couple of boxes ,,well my next project will be the Aiwa 968
