Here's the first shot (could be the last if I forget about this thread) of my present for my ex GF. This box is fully working but a bit boring. My ex (who I was with when I started collecting) has always wanted a nice sounding box. Pity I took them all when we broke up :)
So for her 30th she gets a custom Aiwa Stereo 660 done over in matte metallic black with graffiti on the grilles done by a mutual friend of ours and a few added extras like a chrome protector bar and some chrome brackets for a rainbow strap.

Masked and almost ready - taking it to work tomorrow and removing the needle meter cover and drilling the holes for the chrome brackets.

Hmm, those last two images didn't come through from Tapatalk, but the first two did. I already like the direction this project is headed - BMW Sapphire Black.

Yay I got the internet at home again!
So... Here's the grilles being dropped off at my friend's workshop.

and all done! Ready for reassembly... just awaiting the rainbow strap! It's a permanent assembly so I have to put the strap on the brackets before I put the box back together.

My ex's nickname is Bam, in case anyone was wondering.

You guys wanted pics so I'm doing just that for you! Here's the box of parts and chassis, just as it was at my old house and how it was transported. Boss Hog the pilling snuffler came along as stowaway. :-P
