I've been eyeballing the Aiwa AD-6900 MKI and MKII cassette decks for awhile. I finally came across a decently priced MKI in need of service and bought it straight away. It looks decent so I've got high hopes. The ebay seller had several auctions going, 99% of which were housewares and storage unit junk so fingers crossed it wasn't a parts machine etc. Description was short and to the point...
"Aiwa AD-6900U powers on but I can't get it to play a tape. Im guessing that it needs new belts. The door is slow to open and the cover sometimes pops off. This unit also comes with the remote seen in the picture."
If anyone knows of a source for belts I'd appreciate it. Turntableneedles.com and a several other sites have nothing listed. Even the ebay belt seller in Belgium has none available. Thanks!
