A personal grail arrived with horrible packing

Fantastic job there! You, Sir, are legend. That's a sweet looking little box, very clean lines, love it.

Please may I know what type of paint you used? I have an airbrush and have had some good results with it but have never been confident about spraying onto polystyrene-type plastics as I've always preferred some slight marks to a melted piece of classic portable audio kit.

It was good of the seller to do the honourable thing and here's hoping that he'll have learned from this and will now pack things properly. :-)

Nice save! How do thge corners look after the resto. did you fix the cracks & blemishes? Now you need some LEDS. It looks sort of like a more basic version of the MontGomery Ward's airliner or Silver A.K.A.

That's amazing! Can't believe how well this turned out after that nightmare packaging...mad skills! Does anyone know if there is a tutorial thread showing methods of cleaning, repair, fixing cracks, painting etc for newbies like me ha ha. I know everyone probably has their own way and secrets but a basics boombox restoration thread would be so valuable to me, and others I'm sure. Regards

Thanks...I used Krylon #1403 Dull Aluminum spray paint and Duplicolor Clearcoat spray paint... :-D
