Nickeccles, I was wondering if you have pictures of belt replacement. I have 2 Sanyo M9998 that needs belt replacement. If you have step by step instructions with pictures or pictures at least that can really help. :yes:

Good to hear you got it and yes those decks are the same as the Sanyo 9998 and they are hard to work on but after you do the first one you will be able to do it again but alot faster :-)

The 9998 is much easier than the 9996 - Just gently unscrew & lift the mainboard (Careful not to break the tuner wheel) until you can see the motor mounting screws, remove the motor, clean up the goo & then you need 2 people really to get it all back together :jawdrop: Yeah it's tricky but possible!! The 9996 has an advanced track search which means more layers of pcb's to remove without breaking any of the many ribbon cables!!

If in any doubt, give it to someone that knows these mechanisms - they are superb but only when they work :-D
