The "proper" way to repair PCB traces is to use the proper materials for the repair. They aren't cheap, and the only one that comes to mind is Cir-Kit by Pace. Like this:

The kit includes traces, curves, and eyelets, as well as the proper heat activated adhesive.
Thanks for info Norm but I wouldn't be able to do that with how small the area is anyway. I couldn't even see what traces were really not there because board area was so black and even trying to shine light through board I was not able to see anything. I know that I would have to remove surrounding components in order to even try but with my eyes and unsteady hands I would probably run the trace off the board
