This is Aron's M90 which he just recently got back from Don. I've restored her the best that I can but had no luck with deck board because part of corner melted due to overheated fusible resistor. Aron in now in need of replacement deck board if anyone has a good one :-)

As far as what I did accomplish I think results will show in pics. Radio and line in work excellent and it looks like a beautiful unit again  Here are some before and after pics

Second pic is showing glue that dripped down tuner window glass. I tried oil to soften glue with no luck as it seemed to be super type glue. So I ended up wet sanding with very very fine sandpaper and buffing window out. Results were excellent :-)

Any possibility of jumpering the melted traces, Bill? I'm assuming that they melted due to proximity, not what they were forced to carry, of course. :hmmm:

When I first got unit some wires were not even hooked up on deck :hmmm:

Then I tried with no luck, It's so tight of area and I don't want to chance it anymore because when I did a test after trying to jump them the deck worked but went very slow then while I was trying to adjust motor a puff of smoke came off preamp board. So I'm not sure what's going on but I'm not moving ahead with this deck board. I did manage to replace preamp board with one I had. I believe a fusible resistor went on board (FR501) but when I looked up on scheme I could not even find the resistor. But I'm just happy the rest of unit is working

Enough is enough, I guess. If things aren't showing up on the schematic, time to call a halt and send for re-enforcements. I would guess that a deck board is gonna be hard to find.

Smoke is not good.

It does look better.

I do like the look of original speakers and not too-blue of ones. Looks classy and clean.

Could be there I just couldn't find either of the fusible resistors on preamp board scheme :hmmm: smoke is definitely not good and thank God I had extra board. Only had to transfer a few components from Aron's original board to make complete. You are so right that finding a deck or even deck board will be hard

Just a deck board because traces were burned already previously but I might have one on way. Radio and line in work perfect.

Awesome work Bill, if you didn't say so I probably wouldn't think it's the same box.
I find it really cool that it's going back to the Aron after so many years, for those that don't know this was my first M90 that I bought from Aron about 6 or 7 years ago.

I did one last try on getting the traces where they needed to go but with such a tiny area and my poor eye sight bad non steady hands I was unsuccessful. the little piece is part of trace that came off.
