the top one is the only one I have seen and the one in the brochure I have, it's also the same one you had at the meet right? does the lower one say 770with a letter after it? It's hard to see in that picture. Do you know if the lower one was not a US model or something?

just noticed the lower one is missing the record level and their is no button where the other one has the power button

yup - i brought the top 770 to our meet --from there it went on to michigan

when skippy wakes up --ask him about those other questions -- i dont know ??

its only a matter of cosmetic taste -
but last week -- i was up in nyc at the lopez collection -
and saw the bottom 770 'in the real' for the first time -

its beautiful -
-has the identical bright blue/silver scheme as your 880

The Bottom CS770 is the Mark 2,it came in 1982 only. The top one is a CS770 Mark 1. It was avaliable in 1981 only.
