okay soo if tha price for this boxx stayys relitivly low i can get it tha only problem is.."BOTH CASSETTE DECKS SEEM TO FUNCTION NORMALLY, HOWEVER THERE IS AN AUDIBLE 'CLICKING' NOISE THAT CAN BE HEARD WHEN THE TAPE IS PLAYING, I'M NOT A BOOMBOX EXPERT, SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT NOISE IS, BUT YOU SURE CAN DROWN OUT THAT SOUND BY CRANKING THE VOLUME!! ALL OF THE EQUALIZER SETTINGS SEEM TO WORK NORMALLY, AS DOES THE DIGITAL CLOCK!"
i have no clue if that is a serious issue soo im asking yall :-D

If you are in that price range now, you can find waaaaay better than that no-namer.

:agree: with blu, at that price you can do better. This is a very cheaply made big mostly empty box that you will not be able to find a service manual for and parts are likely to be scarce. If you want to spend $200 or even a little more you can get some good boxes if your patient and persistent in your searching. The only real plus to this one is it's in excellent shape appearance wise. If the tape deck is clicking it may be more than a belt meaning it could be a difficult fix since finding the parts may be tough, finding out all the AKA's would help tremendously in this case.

I made the mistake of buying a few like this early on in my collecting and every one really was a waste of money. :annoyed:

but right now this box is only $100.thats whyy im looking at it.i dont have 200 to spend. i like tha big one peicers but they are all supper expensive.just because its a no name osnt make it all badd.it looks baller as hell.i just wish i knew what it sounded like

Impressive size but worse quality.
Also i hate those doubleslided equalizers... :thumbsdown:

But it´s on you.
Some "trash" boxes can also make some fun. ;-)

For $100 it wouldn't be all bad however with one of these cheaply constructed boxes with tape deck issues plan on the tape decks not working and if you are able to get them going that would be a bonus. Does this one have a line in connection?

it has a head fone and microphon jackk on tha front but no line-in on tha side :-/
how does this look like a big black fake??
whats rong with double sided equillizers?
and whats funna bout a treash boxx?

Means: those boxes has been made to look impressive, but leaking on quality.
The components on and in it are mostly veeeery cheap made. :thumbsdown:
Double sliders should make for example 5x equalizers looking like 10x. :hmmm:
But you can also have some fun, if you dont buy it because of the sound quality.
Simply enjoy the look and maybe do some custom job with it. :yes:

But: don´t spend much money on such "fakie" ;-)

Here a good example for a mega-trash unit.
Simply enjoy the tape buttons.... :lol:

It's cool, you pretty much have to experience one of these type boxes and a quality name brand box to really understand the differences. Pretty much all of the collectors here have had all types and we are just sharing with you what we already learned first hand. Any box can be cool if you get it for the right price, the members here are just trying to help steer you into better boxes based on the vast experience they all have.

If you decide to get this one I hope it all works out well for you, just remember only you have to be pleased. :yes:

Well, I don't have that model but I do have an electrobrand, much smaller than this one, and it's no JVC or Sharp or Panasonic, or Sanyo type of quality, but it's not the worse I've seen either. I believe electrobrand just rebadges OEM stuff anyhow so it's probably actually made by better known manufacturers. So I'm gonna dissent and say give the $100 boombox a chance. Lord knows I've bought enough boomboxes simply for the looks without regard to actual performance. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Also guilty of impulse buying based off the "cool" factor. Live and learn. It only takes one or two before you start to realize what you really like.
