There's only box worth that much:

BOMBEAT 40.

Mint or NIB but otherwise parts are scarce so I can't see spending that much for one that needs work

Sanyo M-X820k
Marantz gold turntable

Love to have 820 but don't know if I'd pay that much since I've never seen or heard one before :hmmm:

I love the looks of the BB40, but I would actually pay more for an MX820 or an RX7200 than a BB40.
I have never played with a BB40 but I have a couple Bombeats that are one step below the 40, and it's obvious from looking at photos that they use the same deck as the 40 does, and it's a very crude feeling deck IMO. Also, Toshiba knobs always feel very cheap.

M-90 + box + remote = way too much f''n money. That couldn't be it, although when you get up to boxed M-90's you're about in that $1800.00 price range somebody mentioned.

How many members have a remote, even? Just threw that out there for comparison purposes, 'cause Bill has or has had an M-90 I'm pretty sure. :hmmm:

This is fun.

Remotes are definitely hard to find and not cheap. I mean Norm (Superduper) got almost 5g's for a complete M90 with remote he listed on eBay for friend  I believe that was the most money ever paid for one boombox :-)

Since I've never seen nor heard these, well I take that back as I've seen the 7200 in person. But I've never heard any of these it would be hard to choose and since they are all rare hard to find units it makes it harder

i would put my money on the rx 5350 kicking the bb40's ass all over the place. not only that i would choose the 5350 over any toshiba box ,although the rts 90 is the best of the lot. sorry but the 5350 is the ultimate one piece panny. when you have this box you almost stop looking at other boxes the same.
