at least it has big speakers and the cassette deck is the correct way around/////////////////those volume controls are awful though

I think the biggest reason for separate volume controls is so you can turn one channel up and leave the other one down and save battery power. It can also work as a balance control. In my opinion the balance control is the dumbest f****** thing ever and they're nothing but problems who the hell listens to one channel.

Mono boxes are different because they have their uses and they don't have a stupid balance control that goes bad I've owned a few mono boxes including the RC 550.

Balance comes in handy when a tape isn't perfectly balanced, or you're too lazy to fix a weak channel lol.
