4 outta 4 from my fav China seller (today a Bombeat WX-1)

Once again he comes through. I know others may have had various experiences with him in the past, but I've now had 4 purchases, and each one has topped all other sellers Ive dealt with. Think what you want of his packaging, I've had 4 outta 4 monster boxes (777, Conion 126, M70, WX1) show up all the way from China with not a scratch/damage to them at all, can't say the same for a number of US sellers. All wrapped in plastic bag, 4 inches of a softer styro and then a crazy amount of packaging tape and straps etc in a nice sturdy box. All have arrived great, communication has been outstanding even though he can barely speak English, he's replaced a belt for me for free that I bought knowing was broken, and not one of the 4 has taken over 2 weeks, outta F'n China!

He's far and away the best seller I've dealt with out of maybe 20-25 I've bought from.

Today's beast of a box, once again it's in better condition than I would've even hoped. Don't even need to give it a wipe down. I just need to figure out how to use the insane amount of functions/buttons. This is the first box I've seen with a pitch control for the tape. That's just sick. Can't believe how much technology was put into some tape decks, when tapes really sounded like poo.

No, that's not a scratch on the vol slider, but a shadow from the power line above.

My one and only dealing with a chinese seller yeilded me a minty Gf 777.
Not to say you cant have a bad experience,that can happen with any seller no matter where they are from.
Wow that is a super new looking Toshiba
I know from first hand experience that beast is a bass machine!,
Congrats and enjoy that monster.

OK, here comes the Stupid Questions :dunce: :huh:

The WX-1 is a three pieces box right?

It has latches on the sides? Bottom?

Is there anyway I could see it apart and see the mechanisms that hold it all together?

How many batteries does this take?

One thing for sure, it is a totally unique radio and a beautiful design.

BIG, SILVER with lots of SLIDERS AND SWITCHES! I love radios that "Look" complicated!

Actually, both names are correct. ;-) In Japan, it's known as the RT-S98. Overseas, it's the RT-S983
but it's flashier name is the BomBeat WX-1 - just like when we call the RT-S913 the BomBeat 40. :cool:

Sorry for those that didn't see my previous thread.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10340 Its of course the same seller as the previous units I was rambling about.

And yeah, I was debating if I should tell everybody about all the good experiences I've had because of course I could be just creating more competition in the auctions. Alll I heard about China sellers was bad previously so I assumed my first purchase might be my last. Oh how wrong that was now 4 times over. His prices aren't the cheapest for any BIN, and most auctions, but all the boxes I have seen have been top notch with such minimal wear compared to anything I see it's crazy. The Bombeat I bought wasn't ever on ebay as I bought it directly from him, but that ebay one looks to be about the same.

And about the dog, that's Phatty, and I should have some pics of him, a TC-999 box, and skateboard coming soon as a photographer wanted some portfolio shots of him. Also got myself some shelving for the home office. I can only fit maybe 6 boxes in here now so the rest are downstairs, hope to get the best of them all displayed proper like on the shelving, and usable for the room I spent a lot of the day in.

Yes it is a three piece box and there are only two latches. I had one and I regret letting it go! :'-(

I loved the pitch control feature.
