2018 West Coast Venice Beach Mini Meet for James JustCruisin

I'm going to rewind this story just a little bit more and add some details, just to emphasize how much I appreciated this trip!
A few days before my flight, I had been fixing my car in the parking lot..replaced the optispark distributor, water pump, and ignition coil..got it all put back together just in time, because the next morning I woke up to this!
Had to do a bunch of shoveling just to get it on the road..
Drove 2hours to my homie Dana's house, where I left my car for the week..and he dropped me off at the airport..we kicked it for a night, and showed me his portable turntable hooked up to my JVC 550!

Once I got to Howies, we played a few of his radios..one being a Sanyo mini, and also his Sharp VZ-2500..I've owned a VZ-2000 before, but the turntable didnt work..so it was great to see a record really spinning live on his 2500!

I had also met Howie's boxed CONION C-100F at the Las Vegas meet, so I brought him a small token to go with it, a boxed Conion mic!
I took in all the warm, sunny California weather..because what I came back to Iowa was pretty much what I left, snow-covered streets! It felt like I traveled back in time to December, because I saw the future(warm weather in Cali), now I have to wait til damn near June for it to be warm here!

The snow is blowin around like crazy outside, that's what reminded me.. I have a lot of stuff to accomplish outside this year, but darn mother nature isn't letting me!JVC Floyd said:

Dana has a couple Boomboxes, but he had to show me the skateboard his kid got at a garage sale for free!

I felt like I was along for the ride. I got drawn into the pictures. Love the change in scenery. Makes me long for summer that much more.
