I think you guys are probably right, i think i will leave it be for the time being but i am going to use the lower deck door for the other box...i would love to bring this filthy beast to a Sunshine Mix event so that i could freak everyone out

It's so filthy i have it in my garage for now, i don't know what might crawl out of it

I bet its got a nest of lightning bugs in it and every time you turn it up, their little green asses light up and throw some extra charge into that box. That's what makes it louder.
You guys just got scienced. I'm sure Norm could verify my hypothesis.

Yeah, that is a filthy beast. Wild how it is so much louder. Sometimes these machines we build have a soul beyond their parts. (Think Red 1957 Plymouth Fury!)

Sometimes the originality and the untold story is worth more than the restoration!

Glad it's is safe in your collection!

My Custom Colored Conion is the same way.. When I got it the unit was a filthy beach box covered in dirt and stickers with a foggy window, but it pounds harder than any of my other C-100s and also has the best tuner! It's also the Conion I paid the least for..

Curious, but why specifically that song? Some comparison maybe?
None of the above.

Everyone happens to have they favorite. Mine is this one.

It's the kind of track you want to crank!

Especially on a grail such as a Conion.

I can't wait until these start showing up on Antiques Roadshow and the "patina" is actually desirable! We'll all feel stupid for cleaning our finds!
