Hmm, possibly, :hmmm:

Looks mint though, nice to know who bid on it.....

I like the description "looks new", but listed as used. Which one is it??

That's nice and all but I don't think any GF-777 is worth half that much. To me, a 777 is a common and almost always seen bottom of the line box.
If that were the much rarer and far better looking GF-1000 in similar condition, his price would much more sense. :-/

Don't know why, but those chinese sellers seem to have excellent luck with GF-777 sales. Is there some boombox pheremone that buyers find alluring? USA sellers of 777's don't seem to have nearly that level of success.

my guess -- :hmmm:

since these chinese sellers offer several dozens of 777s each year --

they have 'invested' a small sum in the set-up - to print these "OEM" box cartons--

then -- they are cool - :-O
instead of throwing a new carton over each 777 -
they select the top 20% condition models -

then call it 'almost brand new in box'

the $20 carton --adds $2-$500 to the BIN price
;-)

then --every so often - they 'create' a $1500 sale -
to keep 'the market" way up there :-O :-D

If this is a legitimate sale, I bet the buyer will be crying his eyes out when the GF-777 NOT double boxed and there are labels and stamps all over that pretty OEM Sharp packing box. ;-)
