The point of my post was
1. to clarify to member Caution that the OP probably no longer needs help because this thread is 2 years old
and
2. that I noticed you have 10 posts recently (and in total) and all seem to be for the expressed purpose of directing traffic to another website. It would be easy to come to that conclusion because you have no other posts. It's up to you if you want to continue participating here, but if your M.O. is to simply continue the same without any other form of participation, I assure you that everyone here is already perfectly capable of searching for something on google and such behavior might be viewed upon as spamming.
Excuse me.... I could certainly be wrong, but it appears to me as if you are just basically pissed of that someone would mention some manuals website other than your own. I hope I'm wrong, but that is exactly what it looks like.
How could you possibly know if the original poster might still need the information or not? Is it some gigantic waste of the planet's resources to post one single link in a reply to a message that supplies the information that the original poster originally asked about, but possibly might not still need? Is there some unknown internet rule that I'm not aware of that limits how long a person has to respond to some other person's post?? If so, please let me know so I can work on advising hundreds /thousands of other websites that are also violating that rule.
The original post was not 2 years old, but close... and I intentionally did not go any further precisely because of the age of the various posts. That said, I'm also aware that "tons" of folks have things like a boombox lying around for years that the owner has some intent in the future to repair when time allows and/or the service information becomes available.
Unless I am sadly mistaken, I believe I saw other posts where somebody was looking for some manual, and some of them had a reply a year or two later where somebody else supplied a source for the "1-2 year old" request. Were they somehow violating the rules of this forum, or are you just pissed off because I answered 8-10 of them last night? Is there a limit to how many posts a person is allowed to respond to????
Actually, "the express purpose" of the posts was to try to be helpful and to direct the poster (if still interested) to a source for the information they had posted about, AND that apparently nobody else was able or willing to supply to them... AND to reference a highly reliable source for the info they were looking for.
Unless I am sadly mistaken, there are many links on this site to your completely unorganized, disjointed, wreck of a website. Is that ok with you? Do you complain about them? Or are you just upset if a post points to some other source other than you???
You can "assure me" that "everyone here is already perfectly capable of searching for something on google", but apparently nobody on this site was capable or willing to use Google to find the information the poster was requesting. I mean seriously.... 6 months... 1 year... 2 years... WHY, WHY, WHY would not some other member do a Google search and supply a source for the original poster? Why didn't you???? The links I posted were to information that has been on that site for many many years. If you were interested in helping the original poster, you could have spent your time finding that source and posting the link yourself. But you didn't did you?
Might it be because Google doesn't always do a good job of providing accurate information? Might it be because Google search results are often horribly inefficient and/or rigged to point search results to particular sites? Might it be because the information being searched for may be on google, but might be 10-20-50 screens deep in the search results?
Is there is a policy on this forum that any references for manuals sources must be to free pdf sites or file transfer services only? If so, somebody please state that. I could then promise that I will never visit this site again so that I might never be tempted to break some rule. I already know it's OK to post references to your site for pricey pdf files, but are you the one and only exception???? Must all others must be free sites or never mentioned here????
