Hello,

here is my last acquisition. SONY FH-909R a. A big cleanup has been done. lots and lots of dust inside. Complete disassembly of the amp and tuner. Changing light bulbs illuminating the analyseur spectrum frequencies and radios. Player blocked K7 was replaced by his clone from the SONY MHC 2000. 2 remote controls RM-809 (from MHC-2000 / FH-909R) AND RM-808 (from MHC-3000) control all functions. There are the side plates. The carrying handle is that of FH-150R is the same as the FH-15R. from memory I think the original handle is identical but without chrome. Sony logos are golden and not gray like the MHC. the serigraphies are orange and not white.

What I lack is the speaker of origin. So I'm looking for a pair. if someone can help me ...

WOW :drool: :drool: Cleaned up real nice!

I love how the cassette lays in there gansta lean like! Reminds me of my Sankyo STD-2000.

Wow! That's a beautiful machine. I love the cassette deck, very cool! And great work cleaning it all up, you made it look like new again. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Awesome! :w00t: You have the boombox version of that one! :-) I own the mini system version of that box; the speaker cabs are wood with cloth grills and the components have plastic bezels on the sides, of course no handle or brackets BUT if you pull the bezels off, the screw holes for everything are there. Other than that, they are one and the same. That tape deck is a thing of beauty, ain't it? :drool:

Capacitor memory of the amplifier has been changed to a new one. Thus the equalizer three storages will be saved.
the optical (KSS-160C) player SONY CDP-S107 was changed to a new one. Thanks to the cord "control S" cd is controllable with the remote stereo SONY FH-909R.

I miss my FH-909R...it's a really nice box!

I'm surprised on the variance of the speakers that come with the box. Mine came with the APM-909 speakers...What model is on yours?

Hello dear friend. I m looking for APM909 because on my FH-909 There are APM-2000. Those speakers come from Sony MHC-2000. Do you have sold your boom box ? Thank you for answer

Sorry, but I have sold the boombox since. It really was a nice unit, but I did have to put a bit of work into it. The Speaker connections needed resoldering, and I replaced the backlight on the tuner.

I miss the box though... :-( I have gotten an FH-818 recently, so that might help ease the pain somewhat. The linear loading tape deck was pretty neat! I also have an FH-404 that has very similar speakers...
